This beginner futozao shamisen comes at an unbeatable price. It suffered some damage during transport: a crack in the tenjin. It’s been fixed and thoroughly tried out and is ready to make you happy!
The instrument comes with a purple neo and a matching purple doukake. Also included in the package are a set of attached strings, a fujaku strip (position marker) a dougomu, a bachigawa (skin protector), and a tenjin cap. You really get the full package! The only thing you need to add is a bachi and a koma and you’re ready to rock!
The dou is skinned with fibersen synthetic skins. This makes the shamisen a lot less sensitive to rain, humidity or instable climate.
This neck is 33 mm wide and 33 mm high at the top and widens slightly towards the dou. Its hatomune – the part where the neck enters the sound box – ends in a sharp edge that makes it possible to play up to position 20 and slightly beyond on this instrument.
The ebio (the curved end of the tenjin) is in perfect condition. The neck is crafted in ipponzao style: It is crafted from one piece of wood and can not be separated.
All you need to add to your set to start playing are a koma, a bachi and a yubisuri. They’re not included in the package because they should match your built and style for maximum comfort and fun.
