I am not the only person referring to this kind of bachi as “panda bachi” although it is not the official name for it. Whatever you call it, I think it’s a fantastic alternative to a full bekko bachi, because it is so much more affordable and also uses smaller amounts of bekko while still yielding the bekko sound. I also like the look of it!

The blade of this panda bachi is not too thick and the tips are nice and flexible. This bachi is used and has some matted surface spots on the plastic parts (see pictures). The bekko corners have cute light spots and look really pretty. The corners show only the slightest signs of use and are still super pointy.

With a weight of 110g, this bachi is lightweight and especially comfortable for beginners and players with sensitive hands.

This type of bachi is usually used for Minyo style, but can also be found among Nagauta players.
