Tsugaru Longcase | black with green-golden velvet

This pre-owned hardcase strikes the perfect balance between glamour and modesty. The case has elegantly rounded corners and a black outer shell. When you open it, the greenish-golden velvet lining shimmers mysteriously. It is Futozao/Tsugaru Shamisen sized, but of course smaller shamisen will fit as well. This case shows signs of use: see pictures of two scratches and some wear on the handle. It closes well at the clasps, but on the short edges the top and bottom barely come together. So it’s fine for storage but I would not use it for trips through the rain! The two blocks the sao (neck) rests on have additional padding for extra comfort for your beloved shamisen.

Not having to take your instrument apart to transport it is a huge game changer, because you’re always ready to whip out your shamisen and play. Keeping your instrument assembled means it practically stays in tune. The hard shell keeps your instrument safe from people, doors and sneaky corners attempting to bump into your shamisen.
